Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is finally setting sail for home theaters.
After releasing in theaters on July 17, The Odyssey will now finally arrive on digital platforms for fans to rent or purchase starting November 17.
Fans will also be able to own The Odyssey on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray starting November 17.
After enjoying an extended four-month theatrical run, the epic finally heads to digital, marking a much longer theatrical window than typical major studio films.
The extended theatrical strategy mirrors Oppenheimerwhich 56-year-old filmmaker and Universal kept in theaters for 123 days before its November 2023 premium video-on-demand and physical media release.
The Odyssey continues its record-breaking run with roughly $1.35 billion worldwide, making it Christopher Nolan’s biggest film and the new highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time.
It also dethroned Deadpool & Wolverine.
The Odyssey has now surpassed $500 million domestically, while its IMAX run has generated a massive $257 million in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing release in IMAX history.
The movie is packed with a star studded cast including Zendaya, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Elliot Page, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, John Leguizamo and more.
