Daughter. On Monday, May 18, Sanitation Workers Union Bairiya, affiliated to Unorganized Workers Federation, ACTU, staged a protest in front of the block office regarding their ten-point demands. Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) leader Sunil Kumar Rao, patron of Sanitation Workers Union, said that sanitation workers were reinstated in all the panchayats of the block area so that the cleanliness campaign in the panchayats was successful. But the government is not ready to listen to the sanitation workers. In the Panchayats of the block, the salaries of sanitation workers are outstanding for 12 to 15 months. The problem of starvation has arisen in front of the sanitation workers. No one is ready to listen.

At the same time, the rickshaws, uniforms, gloves, shoes, garbage collection bins etc. given to the sanitation workers at the time of selection are no longer fit for work. The money for repairing rickshaws is also not being given by the Panchayats. CPI(ML) leader Thakur Sah said. Even a waste management house has not been built in North Patjirwa Panchayat. In many Panchayats, two sanitation workers have been reinstated on paper instead of one. With the salary of one sanitation worker, the salary of two sanitation workers is given. At the same time, Panchayat servants and sanitation supervisors of Pakhnaha Dumariya Panchayat are taking bribe in half of their salaries. Chandra Kishore Kumar said that Rs 4,000 bribe has also been taken from Bagahi Panchayat. Nakkhed Ram said that we work in an unsafe environment. We do not even have the facility of insurance.

Neither shoes, nor uniforms, nor gloves are being arranged by the Panchayats. Male leader Jokhu Chaudhary said that the money for repairing rickshaws is not being given by the Panchayats. Their salaries should be given directly to the accounts of sanitation workers by the district and not from the Panchayats. Dahari Sah, Arjun Raut, Umesh Kumar, Sanfi Khatoon, Anita Devi, Saleha Khatoon, Vijay Sah, Umashankar Ram, Janak Paswan, Sukhi Devi Sangeeta Devi, Elaichi Khatoon etc. were present in the program.
