The 'purification' of Xi Jinping's administration, many top officials expelled in one blow, an attempt to suppress opposition voices?

Chinese President Xi Jinping has made major changes in the administration and military leadership. 33 top officials expelled in one blow. Xi Jinping has been campaigning against corruption and indiscipline within the party and administration for a long time. The military was no exception. Sources claim that 33 officials have been sacked as part of that 'cleansing' drive. However, a section of informed circles claims that the Chinese president is actually suppressing the opposition voice through this.

The Fifth Plenum of the Communist Party was held in the capital Beijing for the past three days. It ended on Thursday. It was decided to expel 33 officials there. A formal statement was also released. Those expelled include former Politburo member Ma Xingrui and former top military leader Zhang Yuxia. It does not end here. The list of expelled officials includes – former Chinese military officer Liu Zhenli, former diplomat Liu Jianchao, former industry minister Jin Zhuanglong and former chairman of China's security regulatory agency Yi Huiman. In addition, Li Yunzhe, the head of China's financial regulatory agency, has also been removed.

The removal of Zhong Shaojun, close to Xi Jinping, has attracted the most attention. When Xi Jinping took over as head of the Communist Party of Zhejiang Province in late 2002, Zhong began working as his secretary. Later he was accompanied in Shanghai and Beijing. He joined the military in 2013 and served as the Chief of the General Office of the Central Military Commission (CMC). But Xi Jinping also cut off that trusted ally.

Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that 17 high-ranking party and government officials and 16 military officers were among those expelled. Fourteen people were removed from their posts after the fourth plenary session of the Communist Party last year. But this time the number is more than double. Not only that, Xi Jinping started a 'purification' campaign in China's military a long time ago. But recently, the administration and the government have actively started the 'cleaning' campaign of the Chinese President.

In fact, a large part of the Chinese people are angry with the dictatorship of Xi Jinping for many years. It includes the army and a part of the government itself. So all in all, the Chinese president is suffering from the fear of losing the mattress. According to some observers, Xi Jinping is deliberately removing old army officers and top administration officials from their posts. so that his authority in the power structure becomes stronger. Significantly, those who were once the face of China's military power in various conflicts with India are not immune to Xi's wrath. As soon as he realized the danger, he removed the officials.
