Mirzapur. In the month of Purushottam, in the famous Kotar Nath Dham of Halia police station area, the devotees start lining up from 4:00 in the morning to perform Jalabhishek. At a distance, the devotees walk barefoot to Baba Kotar Nath Dham to perform Jalabhishek. The road to Kotar Nath Dham has turned into a pothole and the road has not been repaired for many years. Visitors have to travel barefoot.

The problem is that people who have faith in Baba still reach the Dham barefoot. The road leading to Kotar Nath from Drumdgaj Haliya link road has been turning into a pothole since a long time and the road is not being repaired. The villagers including the visitors believe that in the month of Sawan, people come in large numbers to perform Jalabhishek at Baba’s Dham and in the third year also in the month of Purushottam, there is a rush of visitors every morning.

In the month of Purushottam, visitors from far away places reach Kotar Nath Dham to perform Jalabhishek.

It continues till evening. The pilgrims become victims of the gravel left on the road. In such a situation, the villagers along with the pilgrims demand from the district administration that the path of religion should be built first so that people can maintain their faith. Local villagers also said that the road to Kotar Nath Dham remains open 24 hours. People come from far away places with faith in Baba.

Sometimes people slip and fall on gravel, fall from bike, fall from bicycle and get injured. Visitors and villagers along with others demand from the district administration that the road to Baba’s Dham should be built as soon as possible so that the faith of the visitors always remains connected to Baba.

Barefoot visitors are victims of gravel; gravel is lying on the roads.
