- Women cricketers ready for Hindvi Warriors Trophy

Pune: 'Hindvi Warriors Trophy' Senior Women's Interclub ODI on behalf of Warriors Sports Cricket The competition has been organized. The tournament will be held from 21st to 30th September 2026 at the Warriors Cricket Ground in Fursungi. 10 women's cricket teams from Pune and surrounding areas will participate in this tournament which will be held in chain and knock-out mode. While giving information about this tournament, director of the tournament Swapnil Modak said that the participation of girls in cricket has increased significantly in the last decade and women's cricket is also expanding in Pune. This tournament is organized with the aim of encouraging women players who are taking cricket training in various clubs and academies in Pune.
The main objective of the tournament is to give women cricketers the experience of professional as well as competitive cricket and to practice quality matches. Modak expressed the belief that women players will get a different experience through this medium as ODI type matches will be played.

24 matches of 50 overs
A total of 24 matches will be played in this white ball tournament. Each match will be 50-50 overs. Therefore, the tournament has been organized with the aim of providing women cricketers with the ODI cricket practice required for the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) invitational matches. The competition has received special support from 'Hindvi Veg Hotel'. During the tournament, the participants will be provided breakfast and lunch by Hindvi Veg Hotel.
A tie for the title among 10 teams
In the tournament, ten teams namely Warriors Academy, Recreation Academy, Changbhal Cricket Club, Ajit Wadekar Cricket Academy, Elite Cricket Academy, Mavericks Cricket Academy, Om Sai Academy, Gary Kirsten Academy, Diligent Academy and Josh-Pro Cricket Academy will compete for the title.

Awarded for individual achievements as well
The winning team of the competition will be awarded with a trophy, while the runner-up team will be awarded with a trophy and medals. Apart from this, individual awards will be given to best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, best wicket keeper and emerging player. The best performing player in the tournament will be honored with the best player of the series award. Also, the performance of the players will be appreciated through the Man of the Match and 'Fighter of the Match' awards in each match.
