Pune/Cricket: In the 6th 'Spartan Monsoon League' Championship Mixed Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Spartan Cricket Club, Pune, the teams Game Swingers Pune, Tornadoes Club and Sledgehammer Strikers continued to progress in the tournament by winning their respective matches. These matches were played at Kodre Farms Cricket Ground on Sinhagad Road.
In the first match, Game Swingers Pune defeated Pharma XI by 65 runs. Batting first, the Game Swingers put up a tough challenge of 233 runs in front of their opponents on the strength of Prashant Bhurukpatil's blistering unbeaten 126 and Ojas Sathe's useful 66. Chasing this mountain-sized target, Pharma XI's entire innings was reduced to just 168 runs.

In the second match, Tornadoes club defeated United club by a huge margin of 207 runs. The Tornadoes club batsmen made a huge mountain of 358 runs in 20 overs. Centuries scored by Amit Das (102 runs) and Ganesh Hole (106 runs) were decisive. Faced with a big challenge, United Cricket Club's innings ended on just 151 runs.

In the third match, Sledgehammer Strikers beat RT Group by 3 wickets on the strength of Saurabh Devore's brilliant all-round performance. Batting first, RT Group's innings was limited to 151 runs. Umesh Deodhar of Sledgehammer Strikers picked up 3 wickets, while Saurabh Devore, Varun Srikhande and Alok Nagaraj contributed well with 2 wickets each. Sledgehammer Strikers chased down the target of 152 runs in 17.5 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
