Desk. The first official glimpse i.e. trailer of the multilingual film 'Ramayana Part 1' being made under the direction of film director Nitesh Tiwari has been made public. Keeping in mind the spiritual perspective, the makers of the film launched it on digital platforms in the early hours during 'Brahma Muhurta'. There was a lot of discussion about this cinematic project proposed in two parts for a long time among the Indian audience as well as in the international markets. Within the first 6 hours of its release, the trailer has garnered a total of over 50 lakh views across various digital mediums, indicating the initial interest and curiosity of the audience towards the project.
The trailer mainly highlights the main conflict between actor Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Sri Ram and Kannada star Yash as Lankapati Ravana. Apart from this, glimpses of actress Sai Pallavi in the role of Mother Sita and Ravi Dubey in the role of Laxman have also been included in the script as key associates of Shri Ram. On the technical front, the film sees extensive use of visual effects and computer-generated imagery.
Sridhar Raghavan has handled the screenplay adaptation of this mythological epic. In a new experiment in the field of music, Oscar-winning Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer and Indian composer AR Rahman have been brought together to create a unique blend of Eastern and Western musical styles in the background score of the film.
The mega cinematic project is produced by Namit Malhotra's 'Prime Focus Studios' and 8-time Academy Award winning visual effects company DNEG. In this, actor Yash's production company 'Monster Mind Creations' is also associated as co-producer. To broaden the commercial reach of the film, its distribution rights have been divided on a regional basis. The responsibility of the international market and global distribution has been entrusted to Sony Pictures, while the theatrical distribution of the film in the northern regions of India will be with Dharma Productions. The first part of the film 'Ramayana-Part 1' is targeted to be released simultaneously in theaters across the world on the occasion of Diwali 2026. Further promotional materials of the film are likely to reveal the looks and visuals of other lead characters, especially Sunny Deol in the role of Hanuman.
