The rumor was fueled on the Portuguese television program V+ Fama, when MC Adriano Silva Martins announced on Tuesday that Ronaldo is expected to hold the wedding with Rodriguez this weekend.
Martins added that the couple would tie the knot at the historic Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra, Portugal. The alleged invitation specified that guests must wear black and that the event would be a special “Siu” ceremony, referencing the 41-year-old superstar’s signature celebration.
Commentator Isabel Figueira chimed in, arguing that the proposal was made in 2025 and the guaranteed plan is to hold the wedding after the 2026 World Cup, so the speculations are reasonable and might be true.
However, Spanish magazine HOLA has debunked these claims, confirming through their sources that the wedding will not take place this weekend.

The rumored venue, Quinta da Regaleira, remains open to the public for regular tourist visits throughout the day on Aug. 1 and is scheduled to host a separate evening musical performance, making it highly unlikely that the estate is preparing for a high-profile private wedding.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together since 2016 and announced their engagement in August 2025. Speculations regarding their wedding date are a constant topic in the media.
In an interview with Piers Morgan in 2025, Ronaldo stated his intention to marry Rodriguez following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, ideally hoping to do so as a champion.
While his World Cup dreams were dashed when Portugal was eliminated in the Round of 16 by eventual champions Spain, previous reports from Jornal da Madeira in late 2025 indicated that the couple plan to hold their ceremony in Ronaldo’s birthplace of Madeira, rather than Sintra.
Rodriguez, born in 1994 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before moving to Spain, met Ronaldo while working at a Gucci store in Madrid.
They share a family of five children. Rodriguez is the biological mother of daughters Alana Martina (born in 2017) and Bella Esmeralda (born in 2022). Bella’s twin brother, Angel, died during childbirth. Rodriguez is also heavily involved in raising Ronaldo’s other three children: Cristiano Jr. (born in 2010) and twins Eva and Mateo (born via surrogate in 2017).
Ronaldo’s legendary career spans over two decades. He recently confirmed that the 2026 World Cup was his final appearance at the tournament, leaving the World Cup as the only major trophy missing from his collection.
Both Ronaldo and Rodriguez have yet to publicly comment on the recent rumors about their wedding.
