In Ahmedabad, the Union Home Minister flagged off the country’s first LNG train. On this occasion, he highlighted the changes that have occurred over the decades, mentioning the Sabarmati railway station and the developed transport facilities in the city.
The Home Minister noted that in the 1980s, one had to walk nearly two kilometers to take a rickshaw from the Sabarmati railway station. Now, the transport system in the area has expanded, providing passengers with various means of transport from ST to metro.
The launch of the country’s first LNG train is being seen as a new initiative in railway transport. Additionally, emphasis has been placed on better connectivity between different public transport services in the Sabarmati area.
