Rahul Gandhi said that after coming to Balaghat, it felt as if there was no Indian government in the middle of India. Many children here have died due to malnutrition and other diseases, but people are not getting any support from the government. Here there are issues related to people's land, there is the issue related to Forest Rights Act and there is also the issue of MNREGA. Many families lost their children, but half have not been compensated yet.
He further said, I want to tell the government to fulfill its responsibility. Provide school, hospital facilities to the people in Balaghat and give them their rights. BJP government talks about development 24 hours, but disappears while fulfilling its responsibilities.
If the government is running two schemes in the state, then they should get the benefits of both, but by giving them the benefits of one scheme, their name is removed from the other.

Rahul Gandhi said that I was very sad to see the situation here. We have told them that we will help them as soon as we come to government. We do not call them forest dwellers but tribals and they are the first owners of India, hence they should get space and facilities in the country. The situation is bad everywhere in Madhya Pradesh and this is completely the failure of the Madhya Pradesh government.

Also said, the way tribal children lost their lives in Balaghat is a complete failure of the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this incident, I will raise the issue of injustice being done to the tribals in the country in the Lok Sabha.
