Lucknow. There is relief news for people buying electric vehicles in Uttar Pradesh. Eligible vehicle owners, who have been waiting for subsidy for a long time, now have increased hopes of getting payment. The state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 50 crore for the promotion of electric vehicles in the financial year 2026-27.
Will get benefit of stalled subsidy
This amount approved by the government will be spent from the provision kept in the budget of the Transport Department for subsidy of electric vehicles. The biggest benefit of this can be given to those people whose subsidy was pending in some districts since last year.
In fact, due to the completion of the set target, the subsidy process was temporarily affected in some places since December last year. Now after the approval of the new amount, the way is expected to be cleared to pursue the pending cases.
Who can get the benefit?
The benefit of subsidy will be available to electric vehicle buyers who fall under the eligibility and rules prescribed by the government. Those who have purchased an EV in the eligible period and whose subsidy claim is pending are likely to get relief from the approved budget.

Uttar Pradesh government is encouraging electric vehicles to reduce pollution and reduce dependence on petrol and diesel.
