Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma In an important review meeting organized with the officials of the Military Welfare Department, stating that the welfare of ex-servicemen, brave soldiers and their families of the state is the top priority of the government, he gave clear instructions to the officials to ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reach every eligible person in a timely, transparent and effective manner.
The Chief Minister said that respect for the soldiers who risked their lives for the security and integrity of the country should not be limited to mere words, but every scheme of the government should be implemented with full sensitivity to improve the lives of them and their families. He instructed the officers that there should be no unnecessary delay in any work related to soldiers and ex-servicemen and their problems should be resolved quickly on priority basis.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that it is the moral duty of every citizen to pay respect to the soldiers and their families who contribute to the defense of the nation. The Government is committed to ensure that ex-servicemen get full benefits of government schemes, pension, medical facilities, rehabilitation schemes and other welfare programs in a timely manner.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma told the officials that all the departments should work with mutual coordination so that no eligible ex-serviceman or his dependents have to face any kind of administrative difficulty. Laying special emphasis on transparency, accountability and sensitive administration, he said that matters related to soldiers should be resolved on the basis of top priority.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister also gave important instructions regarding honoring the martyrs. He said that a uniform and systematic model should be developed for the martyr memorials established in different districts of the state, so that the coming generations can draw inspiration from the unique bravery, sacrifice and patriotism of the brave soldiers of the country.
He said that the glorious history of the Indian Army should not be limited to books only, but should reach every section of the society. For this, effective initiatives should be taken to spread the stories of the army’s bravery, brave operations and sacrifices made for the country to the people on a large scale.
The Chief Minister directed the officers that the Sainik Welfare Department should make the services simple and easy by making maximum use of modern technologies. Information about application process, grievance redressal and schemes should be made available through digital mediums so that ex-servicemen and their families do not have to visit unnecessary offices.
He said that the priority of the government is not only to make schemes but to ensure their effective implementation. Every officer should ensure that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of benefits due to lack of information or administrative procedure.
Various welfare schemes available for rehabilitation, employment, skill development of ex-servicemen and their dependents were also reviewed in the meeting. The Chief Minister asked the officials to pay special attention to the effective publicity of these schemes so that more and more beneficiaries can avail their benefits.
The Chief Minister said that the contribution of soldiers is not limited to the battlefield only, rather they are a source of inspiration for discipline, patriotism and spirit of service. No compromise will be accepted in the honor of such heroes and their families.
He also directed the officers to organize regular review meetings to resolve the problems of soldiers and ex-servicemen and ensure prompt disposal of pending cases. The progress of all the schemes should be continuously monitored so that the facilities reach the beneficiaries on time.
