Desk. American singer and actress Mary Milben is once again in the news due to her statements regarding Indian politics. He has appealed to the Indian youth to protest peacefully against the alleged 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP). Milben alleged that this organization is getting financial help from donors based in America who are opposed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leadership. However, his allegations have not been independently confirmed. Mary Milben expressed her views on social media on Wednesday. At that time, demonstrations were being held in Delhi by opposition parties and CJP supporters. The protesters demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. His allegation was that there were irregularities in the process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Amidst these political developments, Milben made serious allegations against CJP and its leadership.
Mary Milben claimed that CJP leader Abhijit Dipke and his organization are getting financial support from some people in America who are against the political ideology and leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He appealed to the Indian youth not to remain silent on this issue. According to Milben, the youth of the country should raise their voice against those activities which they consider to be an obstacle to India's political stability and development. In his message, Milben also supported the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the youth he said that they do not need to be afraid. Referring to Modi's long political experience, Milben said that he has been active in public life for nearly 25 years and has been leading the country as Prime Minister for 12 years. He also said that the Prime Minister, who has secured three consecutive electoral terms, will not succumb to external pressure.
Milben also alleged in his statement that some American donors target leaders with conservative ideology in different countries of the world. According to their claim, such people identify individuals from the respective countries who have received education in the US. After this, they are allegedly influenced and given financial help to return to their country and undertake political activities. The American singer claimed that such activities can affect the development, governance system and political environment of the respective countries. However, in his statement he did not present any detailed public evidence to support these allegations. Therefore, the alleged financial links between American donors, CJP and its leadership should be seen as allegations for the time being.
Mary Milben called on Indian youth to organize to defend democracy and freedom. He expressed the need for a new voice to emerge in India, which was born, brought up and educated in the country itself. According to her, the youth should express their views peacefully and oppose those activities which they consider against the interests of the country. Milben concluded his message by reiterating his appeal to youth to unite and express their opinions through peaceful protest. His statement has come at a time when there is political controversy regarding the SIR process and the demand for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.
