The country’s leading and leading IT company Infosys has declared its financial results for the first quarter of the current financial year, which have been quite encouraging for investors. There has been a strong jump in the company’s profits during the June quarter and along with this, a major change has also been made in the top management of the company. This giant company of the IT sector has announced the name of its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), due to which there has been a stir from the stock market to the corporate world.
Infosys’ performance shines in June quarter, profit increases by 12.2% to Rs 7,769 crore
According to the data released by Infosys, the company’s net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year has reached Rs 7,769 crore with a spectacular increase of 12.2 percent. Apart from this, a huge jump of 14 percent was recorded in the total revenue of the company and it increased to Rs 48,211 crore. However, in view of the changing market conditions, the company has slightly revised its revenue growth estimate for the financial year 2026-27 to the range of 1.5 to 3 percent. Talking about various segments, financial services remained the largest vertical of the company, which contributed 27.9 percent to the total revenue.
Ashish Kumar Das will be the new CEO of Infosys, will take charge from April 1, 2027
With the announcement of quarterly results, the board of Infosys has announced major changes in the management. The tenure of the company’s current CEO Salil Parekh is going to end next year, after which Ashish Kumar Das has now been named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. He will take over the overall command of the company from April 1, 2027 and will remain in this post for the next 5 years. Ashish Kumar Das currently heads the energy vertical of the company and has been associated with Infosys for more than three decades. The company believes that his strategic and commercial understanding will prove to be extremely helpful in taking Infosys to future heights.
