The death of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal, the only son of Chirag of Pune’s prestigious Agarwal family, in Lohgarh Fort has shocked the entire country. What was initially thought to be a ‘tragic accident’ has now turned out to be a well-planned conspiracy and a sensational murder. Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal, while narrating his story, has mentioned the cruelty which destroyed his world.

‘Suspicion deepened after seeing the dead body’

According to Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal, when he reached the spot and the hospital after receiving the news of the accident, he noticed a strange calmness in Siya Goyal’s behaviour. The father said, “When the police brought Ketan’s body, there was neither a wrinkle nor any regret on Sia’s face. Her behavior was very cold and insensitive.” This shamelessness of Siya sowed the seeds of doubt in the minds of the family, after which the police started investigating the matter in depth and the truth came out.

“If you didn’t want to marry, you would have refused, why did you have to kill?”

Words cannot express the pain of Ketan’s father, who is in the grief of losing his young son. He said angrily and helplessly, “If Sia did not want to get married, she could have told us no outright. We would have happily ended the relationship and stopped the marriage. But to kill someone’s 26-year-old son brutally like this, what kind of sick mentality is this? We have to understand where such upbringing and ideology is coming from in the society.”

₹17 crore wedding, two private jets and a conspiracy

Ketan and Siya’s engagement took place in February this year. Their royal wedding was to be held in a palace in Udaipur in November with a budget of ₹17 crore. Not only was the palace booked for this luxurious function, but even two private planes were arranged to transport the guests. But the conspiracy was so deep that on the pretext of his birthday, Siya called Ketan to Lohgarh Fort and along with her lover Chetan Chaudhary, who was already present there, pushed Ketan into a 400 feet deep ditch.

Grandfather raised questions: Did the family know?

Ketan’s grandfather has also raised serious questions in this matter. He says that he has known the girl’s family for 35 years. She alleged that Sia’s uncle and aunt were fully aware of her and Chetan’s affair, yet they pressurized her to take the relationship forward. At present, the police have arrested Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary and Ketan’s family has demanded death sentence for the culprits.
