There will be a flood of faith in Barsana on Radha Ashtami, the administration took command

Rain:The district administration is fully prepared for the Radha Ashtami festival to be organized on 18th and 19th September in the historical and world famous pilgrimage site Barsana of Mathura district. Keeping in view the possibility of lakhs of devotees arriving during the festival, the administration has started extensive preparations for easy transportation, safe darshan and better crowd management. On Tuesday, a coordination seminar of officers was organized at the Dak Bungalow in Barsana and the outline of the arrangements was decided.

The meeting was jointly chaired by Superintendent of Police Rural Suresh Chandra Rawat and Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Dr. Amresh Kumar. Giving top priority to the convenience and safety of the devotees during the Radha Ashtami fair, the officials directed various departments to work in mutual coordination.

Special plan for entry and exit in Radharani temple

In the meeting, a special plan was made regarding the arrangements for entry and exit of devotees in Radharani temple. Devotees will be given entry for darshan from Shreeji Gate and Lado Gate. Movement of devotees will be ensured through small and big stairs on both the routes. After the darshan, evacuation of the devotees will be done in one direction from the Jaipur temple, so that the crowd pressure in the temple premises and surrounding areas can be controlled.

Crowd management, zone division and other arrangements

For crowd management, it has been decided to make the movement of devotees in box formation. At the same time, the entire fair area will be divided into various zones and sectors and administrative and police officers will be deployed on a large scale. Along with security arrangements, instructions were also given to maintain traffic, parking, cleanliness and other necessary arrangements.

After the coordination seminar, the officials conducted an on-site inspection of the fair area and took stock of the arrangements and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.

The administration has appealed to the devotees to have darshan in an organized manner by following the prescribed routes and arrangements during the Radha Ashtami festival.

On this occasion, Deputy District Magistrate Govardhan Sushil Kumar Singh, Area Officer Govardhan Anil Kumar Singh, Executive Officer Kalpana Bajpai, In-charge Inspector Ajit Singh and officials of various departments were present.
