There will be relief from heat wave soon, alert of rain and storm in many states including UP-Delhi, IMD issued new update.
New Delhi: North India is currently in the grip of extreme heat and heatwave. People in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar are facing scorching heat. The continuously increasing temperature has increased the problems of the people. However, now the Meteorological Department has given relief news. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heatwave may continue in North and Central India for the next two days, but a change in the weather will be seen from May 29.
The Meteorological Department says that after May 29, the maximum temperature will drop and the heatwave situation will improve. Especially in Uttar Pradesh, there are signs of change in weather from May 28. An alert has been issued for rain, strong storm, lightning and hailstorm between May 28 and 31 in Western Uttar Pradesh.
Thunderstorm alert in North India
According to the Meteorological Department, during May 28 to 30, strong winds at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour may occur in many parts of North India, Central India and Eastern India. Along with this, possibility of thunder, lightning and moderate to heavy rain has been predicted. Strong thunderstorms with thunderstorms are expected in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Western Uttar Pradesh on May 29. Whereas in Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand, the weather may remain bad on 28 and 29 May.
When will the weather change in UP?
The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, strong winds and lightning in western Uttar Pradesh from May 28 to 31. Whereas in eastern Uttar Pradesh the weather will be active between 27th to 31st May. Apart from this, dust storm may occur in many parts of Uttar Pradesh on 28th and 29th May. A warning of hailstorm has also been issued in some areas of western and eastern UP on May 29.
Weather will change in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir also
The weather is also going to change in the hilly states of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand from May 27 to 30. Whereas in Himachal Pradesh, rain with thunderstorms and strong winds are expected on 28th and 29th May. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh on May 28 and 29.
Heavy rain alert in South India
Rain may continue in many states of South India for the next few days. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain, strong winds and thunderstorms from May 27 to June 2 in many parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may receive heavy to very heavy rains during May 27 to 29. At the same time, heavy rain has also been predicted in Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep.
Weather will be active in Northeast India also
The weather may remain bad in the northeastern states also for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya. There may be heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 1 and 2 June. Whereas, rain alert has been issued in Assam and Meghalaya on 27, 28 May and 2 June.
Chances of rain in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha also
The weather is going to be active in many states of Eastern India also. There may be rain with thunderstorms and strong winds in Bihar and Odisha from 27 to 31 May. There is a possibility of rain and storm in Jharkhand from May 27 to June 1. The rainy season is also expected to continue in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from May 27 to June 2.
