If you are planning to buy a car during the festive season, then this month is the time to look out for several new models and facelifted cars. Renault Duster Hybrid, New Audi Q3, Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG, Toyota Glanza Facelift, Hyundai Bayon and MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition are the 6 cars in discussion.

  1. Renault Duster Hybrid

The Renault Duster E-Tech 160 Strong Hybrid is expected to be launched on October 17. It will get a 1.8-litre petrol engine, 2 electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery pack. These systems combine to deliver 160 hp of power and 172 Nm of torque. As per the company’s claim, up to 80% of city driving can be done in electric mode. So this SUV can be important for those who prefer fuel economy.

  1. Third generation Audi Q3

The new Audi Q3 will be launched in India on October 16. It will get split LED headlamps, large grille and rear light bar with illuminated Audi logo. The cabin will feature a 12.8-inch touchscreen, 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and Sonos sound system. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine will deliver 204 hp of power. A 7-speed automatic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive will make it compete with the likes of the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

  1. Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG

Mahindra is likely to launch the XUV 3XO CNG on October 15. It gets a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG system. Mileage, price and full features are yet to be announced. This car can compete with Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.

  1. Toyota Glanza Facelift

The updated model of Toyota Glanza is expected to be launched on October 14. It may get a new bumper, bigger grille, new alloy wheels and changes to the cabin. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is likely to be offered with manual and AMT gearbox options. The CNG variant may also remain.

  1. Hyundai Bayon

The Hyundai Bayon is expected to arrive in India in October, and could slot in between the Venue and the Creta. It is expected to get a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and manual or automatic gearbox. There is also talk of a CNG variant, but the company has not announced the final details.

  1. MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition

MG Windsor EV is likely to get an Indulge Edition to mark its 2-year journey in India. It gets Shadow Gold color, black alloy wheels and some changes in the cabin. Major changes to the battery and electric motor are not expected. The price and launch date are yet to be clarified by the company.
