Nepali Girls Suicide: A shocking incident has emerged from Bengaluru. Two young Nepali women committed suicide in the Yelahanka area. Their bodies were found hanging from a tree. Initial investigations revealed that the women were in a relationship and deeply in love. However, their families and society disapproved of their relationship. Their families were pressuring them to marry men and had brought them from Nepal to Bengaluru specifically to separate them. Unable to bear, they decided to take their own lives due to social opposition and family pressure. Police have taken possession of the bodies and launched an investigation. This incident has caused widespread panic in the area.
Why did the family reach Bengaluru?
Regarding this case, the police say that the deceased women were named Sirjana and Rita; Sirjana was 22 years old and Rita was 23 years old. Both were from Nepal and relatives who had grown up together. While studying together, they became very close, and their friendship gradually blossomed into love. When villagers learned of their relationship, they began taunting them, and their families strongly opposed this same-sex union. In order to separate them, relatives brought the two women to Bengaluru a month ago. They were kept in separate areas: Rita lived in Frazer Town, while Sirjana lived in Jakkur. The families felt that physical distance would weaken their love.

How did the two women meet?
Despite living separately in Bengaluru, they found it difficult to live without each other. They secretly met three or four times a week, often gathering for lunch at a relative’s house. During these meetings, their families began pressuring them to get married, stating clearly that society would never accept their relationship. Their families even began planning their wedding. This deeply distressed both girls, and they took this extreme step.
