Pune: Police have made another arrest in the case of the death of real estate businessman Ketan Aggarwal in Pune, Maharashtra. Let us tell you, so far three people have been arrested in the case. On Friday, the police arrested a person named Ritesh Hange, who is said to be a friend of the main accused Chetan Chaudhary. Police allege that Ritesh already knew about the murder conspiracy.
According to the police, Ketan Aggarwal died on June 18 in Lohagarh Fort. At that time he had gone on trekking with his fiancee Siya Goyal. In the initial investigation, it was considered an accident and the police had registered a case of accidental death. However, later the direction of the investigation changed.
Accused of being involved in a murder conspiracy
According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, during the investigation it came to light that Ritesh Hange was aware of the alleged plan of Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. Police claim that both of them had planned to first injure Ketan and then murder him. According to investigators, Chetan had contacted Ritesh after allegedly committing the crime on June 18. After this the police got information about Ritesh's alleged role.
Secret revealed through mobile chat
Police say that some chats came to light during the forensic examination of a mobile phone. In these conversations, it was allegedly discussed about pushing Ketan down from Lohagarh Fort and erasing the evidence of the incident. On this basis the police arrested Ritesh. After his arrest, he was produced in Vadgaon Maval Sessions Court, from where he has been sent to police custody till September 12. The police are currently interrogating him.
The family was suspicious of the story of the accident
According to the police, initially Ketan's death was considered an accident. But his family raised questions on this story. Even after the funeral, Ketan's sister expressed doubts about the circumstances of the case and continued gathering information at her level. According to sources, Siya Goyal had reached Ketan's house to meet his family about four days after the incident. During this, Ketan's sister questioned him in detail about the Lohagarh incident. The police is now busy connecting the links between the accused and the entire murder conspiracy.
