Nana used to be troubled by one habit of Anil Kapoor
It is said that if Anil Kapoor got a mic on the set, he would use it a lot. He used to give his reactions through the mic during the shooting. In such a situation, when Nana was concentrating on a scene, Anil’s voice would reach his ears.
Nana had once said in this humorous manner that God save Anil Kapoor and Mike. He said that as soon as the mike came in his hand, Anil kept saying something or the other. Many times Nana felt that he should not be given the mic on the set.
There has been old sourness between the two
Nana and Anil’s friendship was not always so easy. During the period of ‘Parinda’, there were reports of differences between the two. Later, however, relations improved and both were seen praising each other. In recent years, Nana had praised Anil’s work, calling him his close friend.
Nana Patekar continued his acting career from theater and entered films with 1978’s ‘Gaman’. Films like ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Tiranga’, ‘Parinda’ and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ gave him a different identity. His special voice, style of dialogue delivery and strong acting are still remembered by the audience.
