The complex will never again become a school, but its bright blue gate still bears the images (a map of Iran, oversized pencils and portraits of great figures of science and literature) that once welcomed children. But now the path ahead takes visitors through rows of photographs. These show busy children at birthday parties and other occasions. But after this, the same innocent faces can be seen on black banners symbolizing mourning. It is a memorial being built in memory of the children of that school who were killed in the attack on February 28 in the opening moments of the war launched by America and Israel in Iran. Shajrah-e-Tayyibah School located in Minab was also targeted in the attacks.
100 students were killed
Iranian officials had said that more than 100 students were killed. Months later, the Trump administration has neither directly accepted responsibility for the attack nor released the findings of the Pentagon's investigation. However, an investigation by the news agency 'AP' found evidence that at least one American missile had fallen on the school. Minab once again drew attention last week when new US strikes on Iran's southern coast targeted a wedding ceremony and other areas. Some of the injured were taken to a local hospital. The AP team visited the badly damaged two-storey building, whose classrooms seemed to have stopped midway. The 'desks' there are half buried under debris and the roofs have collapsed.
Iran-America war is not stopping
On the other hand, the fight between Iran and America is not stopping. The US military said it attacked three Iranian crude oil tankers after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired ballistic missiles at two US Navy warships patrolling regional waters. This incident may further disrupt shipping in the Persian Gulf and its surrounding areas. A US aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully defended themselves against several unprovoked attacks by Iran and no US personnel were harmed, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

Following Iran's foiled attacks, CENTCOM permanently disabled IRGC crude oil tankers near Kharg Island and near Jask, CENTCOM said. US forces also destroyed an unloaded crude oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. After the crew was instructed to abandon ship, several critical positions were attacked to render the ship useless. CENTCOM further said that these three Iranian crude oil tankers are part of a billion-dollar 'shadow network' that funds the IRGC and its regional allies. Iran has no means to protect them.

CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said this should send a clear message to the IRGC that if you fire on two of our ships, we will impose an even heavier economic burden on you by destroying three of your ships. We will not hold back in protecting U.S. forces and, if necessary, destroying Iran's limited and exposed oil fleets. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on social media that the US would continue to target Iranian oil tankers if Iran attacked American ships. He also said that US forces could attack Iranian tankers in the Middle East or Indo-Pacific region.
