There was a stir when a threatening mail arrived on the official email of Bihar Rural Development Department around 8 am on Tuesday. In the email, there was a threat to bomb the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and the Chief Minister’s residence. Some objectionable and misleading things were also written in it. As soon as the email was read, there was chaos in the department and senior officials were immediately informed about it. In this matter, Ravi Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Rural Development Department, lodged a written complaint at the Secretariat police station.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered the case and started investigation. With this, the cyber cell has been deployed to trace the source of the email. Police officials say that investigation is being done. The things written in the mail are also being investigated thoroughly. After receiving the threat, security at the Chief Minister’s residence, Chief Minister’s Secretariat and the Assembly complex was tightened.

4 schools of Danapur also received threats
Meanwhile, four reputed schools located in Danapur Cantt area also received bomb threats. The emails were sent to Army Public School, Radiant International School, DPS Senior School and DPS Junior School located in Danapur Cantt. The school administration informed the police and administration as soon as the information was received. As soon as the information was received, all four schools were evacuated as a precautionary measure. The children were taken out of the class and taken to a safe place.
After this the teachers and employees were also taken out. Police, dog squad and bomb disposal squad conducted a thorough search of all the school premises. Every corner of the classroom, lab, bathroom, parking and boundary was checked. Even after the search operation that lasted for about three hours, no suspicious object was recovered. According to the school management, in view of safety, the children were sent to their homes. Parents were also informed. The decision to reopen schools will be taken only after the search.
Security of post offices and passport centers also increased
Following the threat, apart from the secretariat and school, security at the post offices and passport service centers of Patna and Gaya has also been increased. Additional police forces have been deployed at these places. Every person entering is being checked. Bags and luggage are being scanned. Officials say that special attention is being kept on crowded places.

Cyber cell is investigating emails
Police say that this could be mischief or even a serious conspiracy. Therefore it is being investigated from every angle. Cyber cell is trying to find out the header information of the email, IP address and location of the sender. Earlier too, attempts have been made to spread panic by sending such fake emails to schools and government offices in many parts of the country. Police officials believe that the email sender deliberately wants to spread panic during the examination and session. Until the investigation is completed, no conclusion can be reached.

When schools received threats, parents also got scared, many parents had reached school in the morning. He breathed a sigh of relief only after bringing his children home safely. Along with this, the school administration has appealed to the parents to maintain peace and not pay attention to rumours. At present, police and security agencies are investigating the entire matter. Drones are also being monitored around the CM House and Secretariat. Patna Police has appealed to the people to immediately inform the police if they see any suspicious person or object. Officials say that all security arrangements will continue until the investigation is completed. As soon as the email sender is identified, strict action will be taken against him.
