Mumbai: Days after shots were fired at Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, the actor’s team has issued its first statement, warning of legal action against those circulating fabricated stories and AI-generated videos linked to the incident.
The team clarified that Tiger has made no public statements about the shooting and has not authorised any communication regarding the incident or subsequent developments.
The warning comes amid the circulation of unverified claims and misleading content about the actor across social media and digital platforms.
“We would like to categorically clarify that Tiger Shroff has made no statements, released no videos, and authorised no communication regarding the recent incident or any related developments,” the statement read.
The team alleged that several platforms had circulated “fabricated stories, AI-generated videos and scripted narratives” falsely attributed to Tiger, describing the content as “completely false, unauthorised and intended to mislead the public.”
It urged media outlets and digital platforms to verify information before publishing or sharing content related to the actor.
The team also clarified that it had no association with the fabricated material and appealed to publishers not to spread misinformation for online engagement or financial gain.
Warning social media users and content creators against creating or circulating such material, the team said it would pursue legal remedies against those responsible.
“Any individual or page found creating, promoting or circulating such fabricated content will face appropriate legal action. We are taking cognisance of these instances and reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies against those responsible,” the notice stated.
The team urged the public to exercise caution when encountering unverified claims and to rely on updates issued through Tiger’s official channels or his authorised representatives.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the firing incident is continuing.
A Mumbai Police team returned to Kota late Monday after travelling to Rajasthan to take custody of two men and a minor detained in connection with the case.
The team reportedly postponed its onward road journey amid security concerns over travelling at night.
Mumbai Crime Branch DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said around 20 special teams had been formed to investigate the shooting.
Police analysed CCTV footage and technical evidence to trace the motorcycle allegedly used in the attack, eventually locating it near Andheri West Railway Station.
“On the basis of field work and technical analysis, the bike was traced near Andheri West Railway Station. On the basis of CCTV footage and other technical analysis, we found out the path of the three. It was found that they had headed towards northern Mumbai and left for Surat,” the DCP said.
Police subsequently learnt that the suspects had boarded the Pune-Jaipur Express and alerted their counterparts in Kota, who apprehended them.
“We then found out that they had left on the Pune-Jaipur Express. We found out which compartment they were on and informed Kota Police. The Kota Police nabbed them, and then we took them into our custody. The procedure to bring them to Mumbai is underway. Delhi Police, Gujarat Police and Rajasthan Police have helped us in this matter,” he added.
