Tim David Fined: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) India’s ace batsman Tim David has been found accused of making objectionable gestures. Due to this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has imposed a heavy fine on Tim David. On May 10, Tim David made an obscene gesture in the Mumbai Indians vs RCB match. Actually, during the match, Tim David showed both fingers from the dugout. This action falls in the category of obscene or objectionable gesture, due to which he has been punished.
BCCI has taken strict action against Tim David, who is guilty of objectionable gesture. The board has fined RCB’s lethal batsman 30 percent of his match fee for violating Level 1 of the code of conduct prescribed for IPL players and team officials. Besides, Tim David has also been given 2 demerit points. The IPL statement said that Tim David has been found to have violated Article 2.6 of the IPL Code of Conduct. This article deals with using obscene, offensive or insulting gestures.
