New Delhi, Sept 26:
Hockey India president and former India captain Dilip Tirkey has filed a police complaint against four federation officials, alleging criminal breach of trust, theft, criminal conspiracy, endangerment of life and wrongful abandonment.
The complaint, dated September 24 and submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi, seeks registration of an FIR and recovery of what Tirkey described as stolen assets and documents. The officials named in the complaint are former Hockey India Director General Commander R K Srivastava, Finance Manager Subodh Kumar, Director Bhushan Kumar and driver Harminder Singh.
Tirkey has alleged that an official vehicle provided for his use during his visit to New Delhi on September 22 was recalled, while his personal belongings were left behind. He has specifically referred to essential medicines and other belongings and sought their immediate recovery.
The complaint comes amid an ongoing internal dispute within Hockey India involving senior office-bearers. Delhi Police has confirmed receipt of the complaint, but no FIR had been registered at the time of the report. The allegations made in the complaint are yet to be established, and any further action will depend on the police response and subsequent proceedings.
