Tirupati Balaji temple will be built in Bihar, government gave land

Patna. A major step has been taken to promote religious tourism in Bihar. The state government has cleared the way for the construction of Tirupati Balaji temple at Mokama in Patna district. For this, approval has been given to give about 10.11 acres of land of Mokama Khas Mauza to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on a 99-year lease.

The government has decided to make this land available at a token price of just Re 1. Along with the construction of the temple, facilities for devotees, religious activities and tourism related arrangements will be developed here.

Mokama will get a new identity

Mokama, situated on the banks of river Ganga, already has historical and religious importance. This region is known as the contact zone of ancient Anga, Magadha and Mithila culture. Due to the religious events organized at the nearby Simaria Ghat, a large number of devotees reach here every year. After the construction of Tirupati Balaji temple, the number of religious pilgrims is expected to increase in Mokama. This could create new opportunities for hotels, transportation, small businesses and local employment.

Tourism and development will get a boost

The government believes that this temple to be built with the help of TTD will not only be a religious place, but can also become a new center for the development of the area. Better roads, passenger facilities and tourism related activities are also likely to gain momentum. This temple to be built in Mokama can add a new identity on the religious tourism map of Bihar and in the coming times this area can become an important destination for devotees.
