Resignation shortly after reaching Rajya Sabha

Rukmini ‘Koyal’ Malik recently became a Rajya Sabha member. In such a situation, his resignation within a relatively short time has become a topic of discussion in political circles. Political analysts believe that it is considered unusual for any MP to leave the post in the initial phase of his tenure. Several important political developments have emerged within the Trinamool Congress in recent months. Various media reports have claimed that some party leaders and public representatives have distanced themselves from the organization or have adopted a different political stance. Amidst these incidents, Koel Malik’s resignation has also come to light, due to which new discussions have started regarding the internal situation of the party. However, the TMC leadership has not commented in detail on these incidents.

Madan Mitra also left party post

Before Koel Malik’s resignation, senior TMC leader and Kamarhati MLA Madan Mitra had also announced his resignation from all organizational posts of the party.
