Polling agency Today’s Chanakya has released its exit poll for the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections, predicting a stellar performance for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to the analysis, the party is expected to get 192 seats in the 294-member assembly.

Meanwhile, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is expected to win around 100 seats, while two seats may go to other parties or independent candidates. These results were released on April 29, a day after the end of the second phase of state elections.

Results will come on 4th May
The results of Bengal Assembly elections will come on May 4. However, before that the results of today’s Chanakya exit poll have been released. According to the survey, BJP can form the government after 15 years. According to today’s Chanakya exit poll, BJP can win 192 seats. At the same time, TMC+ alliance is expected to get 100 seats.

What is the condition of other states?
Apart from West Bengal, voting took place in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry in a single phase on 9 April, while in Tamil Nadu also voting took place in a single phase on 23 April. Voting took place in West Bengal in two phases on 23 and 29 April. With the end of voting, separate exit polls have also been released for all these assembly seats.

According to exit polls, election trends are not the same in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry.
