Polling agency Today’s Chanakya has released its exit poll for the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections, predicting a stellar performance for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to the analysis, the party is expected to get 192 seats in the 294-member assembly.

Meanwhile, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is expected to win around 100 seats, while two seats may go to other parties or independent candidates. These results were released on April 29, a day after the end of the second phase of state elections.

Apart from West Bengal, voting took place in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry in a single phase on 9 April, while in Tamil Nadu also voting took place in a single phase on 23 April.
