Top 1000 BITSAT Students To Get 100% Scholarship At BITS Pilani

BITS Pilani will extend its full tuition scholarship scheme to students who rank among the top 1,000 in BITSAT 2027, doubling the number of high-performing candidates covered by the initiative.

The scholarship will be available to eligible students whose annual family income is up to ₹20 lakh. It will cover tuition fees for all four years of an undergraduate programme, provided recipients maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 at their respective campuses.

Scholarship to Be Included in Admission Offer

The institute introduced the initiative for the top 500 BITSAT rankers in 2026. From the 2027 admission cycle, the expanded scheme will include the top 1,000 candidates.

Eligible students will not need to submit a separate scholarship application after joining. The tuition waiver will be included in their admission offer, allowing students to consider the financial support before deciding whether to enrol.

The benefit covers tuition fees; students should check the institute’s admission documents for details of other charges, such as hostel and admission fees.

More High-Ranking Students Joined in 2026

BITS Pilani said the number of eligible students from the top 500 BITSAT rankers who joined the institute increased by 50% in 2026. The score required to be among that group rose from 314 to 324.

The institute also reported increased admissions among candidates ranked between 501 and 1,000, who were not covered by the earlier scheme. Overall, the number of students joining from the top 1,000 rank bracket rose by 50%.

Financial Assistance Across Programmes

During the 2025–26 academic year, BITS Pilani distributed approximately ₹190 crore through scholarships, fee waivers and fellowships across its undergraduate, higher-degree and PhD programmes.

Around ₹101 crore of that amount went to undergraduate students through merit-based, merit-cum-need and international student scholarships. The institute said about one in every four students across its campuses received some form of financial assistance.

The expanded scholarship is scheduled to begin with the BITSAT 2027 admission cycle. Applicants should check the institute’s official admissions information for the final eligibility criteria and terms.
