Superstar Yash’s film ‘Toxic’ has disappointed on the second day after having a great start at the box office on the first day. This Pan India film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India on its opening day with a net collection of Rs 101.10 crore. The film earned Rs 140.75 crore worldwide on the first day, but on Thursday there was a big decline in collections, number of shows and audience occupancy.
After the second day’s earnings, ‘Toxic’ has lagged behind many big pan-Indian films. In comparison, films like ‘Dhurandhar 2’, ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and ‘RRR’ had done much more business on their second day. However, ‘Toxic’ has maintained a strong position in the total business of two days and its worldwide collection has crossed Rs 190 crore.

According to box office data, ‘Toxic’ collected a net collection of Rs 36.40 crore from 22,629 shows in India on the second day. The film earned around Rs 10 crore from overseas on the second day, after which its total collection in the overseas market became Rs 26.25 crore. Talking about the earnings of two days, the film has made a total gross collection of Rs 164.50 crore in India. Its net Indian collection has reached Rs 137.50 crore. The total worldwide earning of the film has reached Rs 190.75 crore.
How many shows were received on the first day?
Toxic performed brilliantly on the first day of its release and collected a net collection of Rs 101.10 crore in India. On the first day, the film got 24,579 shows and its total occupancy was 56.1 percent. After the great performance of the first day, the film was expected to maintain a strong hold on the second day as well, but with the decrease in the number of shows on Thursday, there was a huge decline in the number of viewers. As a result, the occupancy of the film fell to 26.6 percent on the second day.

On the second day, Toxic got the highest earning from the Hindi version. In Hindi, the film got 16,251 shows and with 26 percent occupancy, it collected a net collection of around Rs 23 crore. The Kannada version performed best in terms of occupancy. The film received 1,678 shows and grossed around Rs 8.50 crore in Kannada with 51 percent occupancy. The Telugu version made a business of around Rs 3 crore from 2,325 shows with 21 percent occupancy. The Tamil version earned Rs 1.50 crore from 2,016 shows with 17 percent occupancy. Whereas the Malayalam version contributed around Rs 40 lakh from 359 shows with 32 percent occupancy.
