‘Toxic’ song ‘Madhosh’ earns praise as fans love Yash, Tara Sutaria’s chemistry
The second song from Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Upstitled Madhosh, drew mixed reactions from viewers soon after its release. While many social media users praised the chemistry between actors Yash and Tara Sutaria, others said the film’s songs had not matched their expectations.
The romantic track presented a softer side of the relationship between the lead characters. Soon after it was released, fans shared their views online, discussing the visuals, the story and the performances.
Several users appreciated the pairing of Yash and Tara Sutaria. One user wrote, “Man Tara is definitely one of the prettiest faces that has ever debuted in Bollywood.”
Another social media post praised the visuals and the lead pair, saying, “This is not chemistry… this is pure madness. Yash and Tara Sutaria just set the entire screen on fire. Every frame is lethal.”
Some viewers also shared their theories about the story. One user wrote, “It feels like Kiara is Yash’s lost love, while Tara is the one who is jealous of Kiara coming back into his life. If that’s true, it’s really difficult to guess who Yash will finally choose.”
Not all reactions were positive. A section of users said the promotional songs had not lived up to the excitement surrounding the film. One comment read, “Too much adult content. Expectations for Toxic are decreasing with every promo.”
Unlike the earlier song Tabaahi, which focused on passion and intensity, Madhosh highlighted a quieter and more emotional side of the lead characters. The visuals showed moments of love, longing and emotional conflict while also offering brief appearances by Kiara Advani and Nayanthara.
The song had been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Arslan Nizami and Faheem Abdullah. It was sung by Siddharth Basrur and released in multiple language versions.

Speaking about the track, Tanishk said, “Madhosh is close to our hearts. The song captures the emotional journey of Raya and Rebecca and expresses love, longing and the playful side of romance. We hope listeners connect with it.”
Siddharth Basrur also spoke about the song and said, “Madhosh isn’t just about heartbreak. It is about everything left unsaid between two people. I wanted the vocals to reflect honesty along with the emotions in the song.”
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 26.
