Toyota's 100% biofuel Innova will be launched, Nitin Gadkari told the date and features

Tezzbuzz Desk- Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that Toyota will launch a new version of its Innova this month that runs on 100 percent biofuel. It will be inaugurated on 26th November. Gadkari gave information about many important aspects related to this new technology in the 'Powering the Next Mile' conference.

The car will run entirely on bio-ethanol instead of petrol.

According to Gadkari, Toyota's new Innova will run entirely on biofuel instead of petrol. He told that the price of ethanol is around Rs 75 per liter, while the price of petrol is around Rs 120 per liter. The vehicle will generate approximately 60 percent of its energy from electricity while moving. On this basis, its effective cost will be around Rs 25 to 30 per liter compared to petrol.

Alternative fuel will reduce expenses

Gadkari said that vehicles running on electric and alternative fuels will be beneficial for consumers as well as the country. Such vehicles will help in reducing fuel expenses and dependence on traditional fuels. He described alternative fuels as important for the country's transportation sector.

Electric two-wheelers were also mentioned

Referring to the development of electric vehicle sector in the country, Gadkari said that he had launched the first electric two-wheelers from Bajaj and TVS. At that time the range of these vehicles was about 125 kilometers.

He said that later some startups reduced the battery capacity to reduce the price. Due to this, electric scooters started becoming available at a price of around Rs 70,000 to 72,000, but due to low battery capacity, their range reduced to around 70 kilometers.
