Traffic's digital 'control room' ready, now the website will tell the location of the towed vehicle

New Delhi: Now people will not have to visit offices for small information related to traffic police. Delhi Traffic Police has designed its website with new style and modern features. Lieutenant Governor Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu inaugurated it on Thursday. The new website can be easily used on mobile, tablet and other devices.

Towed vehicle and challan information now online

The biggest facility is for those vehicle owners whose car is towed for violating traffic rules. Now it will be possible to know on the website itself where the vehicle has been taken. With this, people will not need to inquire at different places to find a vehicle. Information about challans issued against the vehicle can also be obtained by entering the vehicle number on the website. The facility to pay the challan amount online through QR code has also been provided.

Better routes and road safety facilities to avoid jams

Apart from this, the website will help in finding better route according to the situation of jam and traffic pressure on the road. Interactive feature has also been added to explain the meaning of road signs and road markings. LG said that the website should not be just an administrative medium but should become a digital center for road safety awareness, civic education and people's participation. On this occasion, Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar, Special Commissioner Traffic Ajay Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police were present. Cyber security has also been strengthened in the website.
