Tragic road accident in Maharashtra, SUV fell into ditch, took away so many lives
Maharashtra Road Accident: A horrific road accident took the lives of eight people in Raigarh district of Maharashtra. An SUV went out of control and fell into a deep ditch late on Sunday night in the Ambenali Ghat area of Poladpur-Mahabaleshwar road. All the passengers died in the accident. All the victims are said to be residents of Satara district.
A painful accident happened while returning from tourism
According to the information, eight youths from Ajgaon in Satara district had gone to visit Dapoli and this accident occurred while returning. They were going back to their village when the vehicle reached Dabhil village area of Ambenali Ghat and the driver lost control at a sharp turn.
Vehicle fell into deep ditch, chaos on the spot
It is being told that the SUV fell into a ditch about 1000 feet deep. The accident happened at night, due to which information could not be obtained immediately. After the incident, there was chaos in the area and the local people informed the administration.
Difficulty faced in relief and rescue operations
After receiving the information, police and local rescue teams reached the spot and the rescue operation was started. There were many difficulties in the rescue operation due to deep ditch and inaccessible terrain. With the help of ropes, the team went down and tried to rescue the people.
One body recovered, search for the rest continues
By Monday morning, the body of one person had been recovered, while the search for the bodies of all the others was ongoing. Police and rescue teams are continuously present at the spot and carrying out the operation.

The Ambenali Ghat area has been witness to many tragic road accidents in the past. A few years ago also, a large number of people had died when a bus fell into a ditch in the same area. This time the incident has once again refreshed the memories of that horrific accident.
