Peace Committee meeting in Nagar Police Station, Bettiah regarding Eid Ul Azha (Bakrid) festival.

Bettiah:- A peace committee meeting was organized in the city police station, Bettiah regarding the festival of Eid ul Azha (Bakrid) to be celebrated on 27th and 28th May. This meeting was presided over by Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sadar One Ajit Kumar, and City Police Station Head Dheeraj Kumar. He appealed to all the residents of the district to celebrate the festival of Eid Ul Azha (Bakrid) with peace, mutual brotherhood and harmony in the district. He said that like every year, this year too the Eid Ul Azha (Bakrid) festival is to be celebrated peacefully and harmoniously in the district.

From the festival point of view, the police administration is always ready to ensure that any kind of rumour, anti-social activity and communal tension does not arise. He said that all the sensitive and hypersensitive places in the district have been identified, adequate number of district magistrates, police officers and police forces have been deputed at those places, as well as the police administration will keep a close watch on social media, misleading photos, fake videos and posts spreading rumours, in this meeting of the peace committee. Among the public representatives, ward councilor, councilor representative, common citizens and social workers were also present.
