KLIA Ekspres services between Kuala Lumpur city center and Kuala Lumpur International Airport were disrupted on Oct. 12 after a cable was cut in what the operator described as an act of vandalism.
In a Facebook post, the operator of KLIA Ekspres said the cable cut occured between the Putrajaya & Cyberjaya and Salak Tinggi stations and it would be running a combined service from both KL Sentral and KL International Airport Terminal 2, The Star newspaper reported.
The operator said its technical team was working to fix the fault and restore normal operations as soon as possible.

Passengers were advised to contact station staff for the latest updates and assistance.
KLIA Ekspres apologized for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their patience, but did not specify when normal services would be fully restored, AsiaOne reported.
KLIA Ekspres is Malaysia’s dedicated non-stop airport rail service, connecting KL Sentral in central Kuala Lumpur with KLIA Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2) in just 28 minutes.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the largest airport by land area in Southeast Asia, served 5.2 million passengers in August, up 3.8% month-on-month, driven by summer travel demand from Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia.
For the first eight months, it handled nearly 42 million passengers.
