Ahead of the launch, the spy shots of the bike have surfaced once again, and this time it looks almost production-ready. So the company may announce the official launch soon. In India, the bike will compete directly with popular models like the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The Bonneville 400 will be the 7th motorcycle in Triumph's 400cc family. This new model is being introduced by the company after Speed T4, Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, Scrambler 400 XC, Thruxton 400 and Tracker 400. A new chassis, swingarm and rear subframe have been designed for this bike. The flat bench-type seat makes its rear stand out from other 400cc models.

A touch of chrome to the retro design
The design of the Bonneville 400 takes clear cues from the larger 900cc and 1200cc Bonneville models. A large fuel tank, rounded side panels, thick fenders and wire-spoke wheels give the bike a classic look. Chrome finish on Peashooter exhaust, engine crankcase covers and rear grab rails further enhances its retro look.
Emphasis on classic setup over modern features
The bike features circular LED headlamps, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a lower handlebar. Instead of the Speed 400's USD forks, the Bonneville 400 will get telescopic front forks and twin-shock suspension at the rear. Both sides will get dual-channel ABS along with disc brakes.
