Last Saturday, 200.8 mm rainfall was recorded in Hanuman Setu area alone. This is the first time in the history of the Meteorological Department that so much rainfall has been recorded in Lucknow in the month of September. The Meteorological Department says that due to a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal, there has been continuous rain in the capital Lucknow for the last 50 hours. Due to this, the maximum temperature of Lucknow has dropped by 8 degrees Celsius below normal for the second consecutive day, due to which the life of the entire state is being affected.
Strong winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 km
According to the Meteorological Department, winds have been predicted to blow at a high speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour during this period. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, this changed weather pattern will remain like this for a few more days, due to which people have been advised to be cautious.
Red alert of heavy to very heavy rain in these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy to very heavy rain in many districts of the state. On Sunday, red alert of heavy rain has been declared in the surrounding districts of Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur. Apart from this, a strict warning of heavy to very heavy rain has also been issued in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun and their surrounding areas.
