New Delhi. Film actor Rajpal Yadav is once again in the news for a financial dispute. The Central Bank of India has started the process of auctioning his property due to non-payment of the outstanding loan amount. The bank has pasted a notice outside the actor’s plot in Shahjahanpur and made it clear that if the payment is not made by the stipulated deadline, the property will be auctioned. After this action, discussions have intensified regarding the financial condition of the actor and his family.
According to reports, a loan taken from the Banda branch of the Central Bank of India has been unpaid for a long time. The bank claims that actor Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Yadav, and his mother, Godavari Yadav, owe a total of ₹16.61 crore. When the amount remained unpaid despite repeated notices and legal proceedings, the bank took the next step toward recovery, initiating the process of attaching and auctioning the property.
The property earmarked for auction by the bank is estimated to be worth approximately ₹3.10 crore. Additionally, as part of the loan recovery action, an official notice has been posted outside another plot owned by the actor near the Shahjahanpur courthouse to publicly inform the public of the legal proceedings.
It is reported that the Mumbai-based Debt Recovery Tribunal has also granted permission to proceed in the bank’s favor in this matter. Following the tribunal’s order, the bank has begun formal preparations to proceed with the auction process. If the outstanding amount is not paid within the stipulated period, the bank will conduct a public auction of the property as per the rules and recover the loan from the proceeds.
According to banking experts, any financial institution’s debt recovery process is carried out under established legal provisions. First, the borrower is given a notice, then given an opportunity to pay. If the amount is still not paid, the property is seized and auctioned. This process applies equally to all borrowers, whether ordinary citizens or celebrities.
Rajpal Yadav is considered a popular actor in Hindi cinema and has played many memorable roles in his long film career. However, his name is currently in the news more for financial disputes and bank action than for his films. All eyes are now on whether the actor and his family will be able to stop the auction process by paying the outstanding amount in time, or whether the bank will complete the legal process and auction the property.
