Trump said – JD Vance will lead the US delegation to sign the peace agreement with Iran
washington16 june. US President Donald Trump has said that Vice President JD Vance will lead the US delegation at the signing of a peace deal with Iran in Switzerland on Friday.
‘The New York Times’, quoting a senior US official, said in the news that both Trump and Vance have digitally signed the draft of this agreement with Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Trump, who arrived in France on Monday evening to participate in the G7 summit, said during a conversation with the media that Vance would attend the signing ceremony. Asked about his attendance at the ceremony, Trump said, “I may or may not attend.” He said full details of the agreement would be made public sometime soon after Friday.
On the other hand, in America’s ‘ABC News’ program ‘Good Morning America’, Vance said, ‘We digitally signed the agreement yesterday i.e. on Sunday itself.’ He said its detailed information is likely to be released by the end of this week.
Pakistan will host the signing ceremony of the agreement : Shahbaz Sharif
It is noteworthy that this agreement was agreed upon with the initiative of many mediator countries including Pakistan and Qatar. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said his country will host the signing ceremony of the agreement between the US and Iran in Switzerland on June 19.
‘The New York Times’ has quoted a senior American official as saying that the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be fully opened by Friday. Also, movement of large tankers will be given priority to make the supply of oil and gas smoother and faster.
