Trump’s new maneuver: Announcement of imposing 20% duty on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran said – ‘We did not give permission to America’

washington/Tehran, July 13. Two days after breaking the peace deal proposal with Iran, US President Donald Trump has now made a new move by announcing that his country will blockade Iran’s ports and will charge 20 percent duty on all cargo ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. On this announcement of the US President, Iran’s top military headquarters ‘Khatm al-Anbia’ says that it will not allow America to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.

Donald Trump has said on the social media platform Truth Social that America will re-impose the blockade of Iranian ports. He wrote on Truth Social, “The Strait of Hormuz is open and will remain open with or without Iran. We are reimposing the ‘Iranian blockade’. It is so named because its sole purpose is to prevent the passage of Iranian ships or the ships of its customers.”

America now guardian of the strait of hormuzwill be said

Trump further wrote, “All other countries will be allowed to use this waterway fairly and openly. From now on, America will be called the ‘Guardian of the Strait of Hormuz’ and on the basis of fairness, a 20% duty will be charged on every cargo (cargo) sent from here to compensate for all the expenses incurred in ensuring the security of this sensitive sea route. The process of implementing this arrangement will be started immediately.” However, Trump did not provide information about how this system would be implemented in practice.

The security of the entire region is in serious danger due to America’s careless actions – Iranian Army

The Iranian Army Headquarters said in a statement that America’s repeated ‘reckless actions’ in the Strait of Hormuz have put the security of the entire region at serious risk. The statement further said, ‘We have not and will never allow the United States to take control of this important sea route. Any cooperation with the US would be considered an act of war against Iran’s sovereignty. The Iranian military also warned that if this conflict spreads further, the fire of war will engulf all the countries in the entire region.

Trump has already blockaded Hormuz

However, this is not the first time that Trump has blockaded Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. In April, the US military announced that it would stop or turn back ships traveling to or from Iran’s coast. America’s objective was to put pressure on Iran by limiting its earnings from oil exports.

At that time, Trump had also said, ‘We will not let Iran earn money by selling oil to the countries it likes, while not selling oil to the countries it does not like. Then Iran had described America’s move as ‘piracy’. After that, in the interim agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) signed on June 17, both the countries agreed to lift the blockade and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, the United Nations’ maritime agency, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), says that no country has the legal right to stop the movement of ships in the strait used for international traffic.
