A new power substation will be built in the Tulsiapur area of the Barhni block. The state’s Energy Minister has approved a proposal by Shohratgarh MLA Vinay Verma. The Energy Minister has also approved increasing the capacity of the Dhebarua Power House to 132 kVA. Residents of the area have expressed their happiness over the approval of both projects to enhance electricity supply.
Shohratgarh MLA Vinay Verma met with State Energy Minister Dr. AK Sharma during the monsoon session of the Assembly and submitted a memorandum demanding a new 33/11 kVA power substation in the Tulsiapur area of the Barhni block and an increase in the capacity of the Dhebarua Power House to 132 kVA. He informed the Minister that the Dhebarua Power House supplies electricity to approximately 50 gram panchayats in the Barhni block, a large area that is affected by floods. Therefore, a power substation is needed in the Tulsiapur area. The Energy Minister approved both of the MLA’s demands.
Shohratgarh MLA Vinay Verma stated that both projects are crucial for the smooth functioning of electricity facilities in the region. The Energy Minister also assured that all procedures will be completed and construction work will commence soon.
