Two cousins ​​died due to drowning in a pond

In a heart-wrenching incident, two cousins ​​of the same family died by drowning in a puddle in Phuchti Kala village of Ekma police station area of ​​the district on Wednesday evening. After the incident, there is mourning in the entire village while there is chaos among the family members. The deceased have been identified as Guddu Kumar, 9-year-old son of Ramesh Rai, and Akshay Kumar, 8-year-old son of Ravindra Yadav. Both the children were cousins ​​and had gone to take a bath in a nearby pond along with other children of the village.

According to the villagers, five children were bathing in the pond at around 3 pm on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a child went into deep water and started drowning. While trying to save him, the other child also went into the depth and both of them died due to drowning. The other three children present with them somehow came out and reached the village and informed about the incident.

As soon as the information was received, a huge crowd of villagers gathered near the pond. After much effort, both the children were pulled out of the water, but by then it was too late. On receiving information about the incident, the police also reached the spot and started investigation.

In this case, the deceased’s father Ramesh Rai applied for not conducting post-mortem, calling it an accident. Police Station Head Ram Balak Yadav said that on the request of the family members, the Panchnama of the dead body has been prepared and handed over to them. There is a mournful silence in the village after the incident. There is a deep shadow of mourning in both the families and the family members are in bad condition, crying. The villagers have demanded to make strong security arrangements around the ponds, so that recurrence of such incidents can be prevented in future.
