It should be noted that a new conflict between America and Iran has started over Hormuz. US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon on Thursday. Iran then decided to open Hormuz to all commercial ships on Friday. Trump said on social media, ‘Iran is ready to open the Strait of Hormuz permanently. They will not stop it, and will not use this system as a weapon against the world.’ However, even if Iran opens Hormuz, America will continue the blockade. In turn, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement that Washington had failed to keep its promises. Despite Iran’s opening of the Hormuz, the US continues to blockade the waterway. Tehran has made it clear that Hormuz will remain closed until the US guarantees the free passage of all ships bound for Iran. In the midst of this damadol, the Indian ship was attacked.
