Two teenagers drowned while bathing in Ganga in Chhatnag, body of one found, search for the other continues.

Jhunsi. A tragic accident took place on Tuesday while bathing in the river Ganga below Soham Ashram, Chhatnag under the police station area. Two boys who had gone to take a bath in the Ganga drowned when they suddenly went into the depth, causing a stir at the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, both the teenagers were bathing in the Ganga with their friends. During this time, they slowly went into deep water and could not control themselves due to the strong current. People present nearby raised noise and tried to save them, but by then both of them had drowned in the water.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Jhunsi police station reached the spot and started the search operation with the help of local divers. After much effort, the body of one teenager was recovered, while the search for the other continued till late evening.

As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was chaos in the house of the deceased. The family members are in bad condition and crying. At the same time, the family members of the missing teenager are also present at the spot and are continuously monitoring the rescue work in the hope of finding him.

The police have taken the recovered body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. Also, continuous search operations are being carried out by divers to find the missing teenager.
