U20 Asian Athletics Championships: Indian players shine, PM Modi congratulated them on winning 19 medals
Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated the Indian team for winning 19 medals, including 10 gold medals, in the 22nd Asian Under-20 Athletics Championship, saying that this excellent performance reflects the determination and excellence of the players. India won a total of 19 medals including 10 gold, five silver and four bronze in the four-day competition held in Hong Kong, finishing second behind China (14 gold, nine silver, two bronze).

“Hearty congratulations to the Indian team for winning 19 medals, including 10 gold medals, at the 22nd Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships. This excellent performance reflects the determination and excellence of India’s young athletes. It is hoped that these achievements will inspire many more young Indians to pursue a career in sports in the years to come,” Modi said in a post on ‘X’.
