Dubai. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed condolences over the loss of life and damage caused by floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in India. The UAE on Tuesday expressed solidarity with India and expressed deep sympathy towards the families of the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The UAE Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that heavy rains have caused floods and landslides in India, resulting in several deaths, injuries and massive property damage. The Ministry expressed support to the Government of India and the affected people in this difficult time.
The Indian Embassy in UAE expressed gratitude for this sensitive step of the Emirates Government. The embassy said on social media platform ‘X’ that it respects this spirit of friendship and support between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that many parts of India are affected by the continuous monsoon rains these days. Due to rain, life has been affected due to floods, landslides and other natural disasters in many states.
At least 23 people have died in various rain-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since Sunday, while seven people are still reported missing. At the same time, about 3.63 lakh people have been affected by the floods in Assam and information about the death of five more people came to light on Monday. Every year during monsoon, incidents like floods and landslides occur in India, which cause damage to people’s life and property as well as roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
