Last Sunday, a display of diamond collection was organized in a hotel in the city. While visiting the exhibition, initially I had prepared an exhibition wall giving information about diamonds. Other members of the house kept going to see the real diamond while my eyes got stuck on this display. The information put on display was astonishing.

Once it happened that the scientists of the world’s largest diamond company were wandering in the dry plains of Africa for months in search of a new diamond mine. He had state-of-the-art equipment. It was decided to test this idea. Soil samples were collected from various ravines of Udhai and sent to the laboratory. The test report came after a few days. Scientists were shocked to see the report. Such special minerals were found in the soil which are generally found only with volcanic rocks called “kimberlite”. This was a big sign for geologists. Because kimberlite means the path to diamond.
This place became known as the world famous Jwaneng diamond mine.
Now the entire team started a more detailed survey of that area. Drilling was done. Samples of rocks came out from under the ground. And then such a truth came out, which changed the history of the entire diamond industry. A huge kimberlite pipe was hidden underground, which contained extraordinary deposits of high quality diamonds. Then this place came to be known as the world famous Jwaneng diamond mine. Mining started here in 1982 and even today it is considered one of the richest diamond mines in the world. But the value of these “small stones” turned out to be billions of dollars! An interesting question arises here. If heroes are made in such depths then how can they be found in the mines? Nature itself has given its answer. Along with this magma, even the diamonds seemed to have come up like passengers. If this journey had been slow then the diamond would have turned into graphite again. Therefore, it is as if nature has prepared a ‘rocket lift’ to save the diamond!

But did the Udhaiyas really discover the diamond mine? No. Udhaiyas didn’t even know what a hero was! He was just building his house. The true discovery was made by scientists only. But Udhai unknowingly brought out particles of minerals from inside the earth, which showed the right direction to the scientists. This incident strengthened a new thinking in geology. Today, in many countries of the world, minerals like gold, nickel, copper and diamond are discovered by analyzing the soil of Udhain’s Rafdas. The most beautiful thing in this whole incident is probably only one thing. Nature always keeps giving us signals. The only difference is that a common man sees a lump of soil there, whereas a scientist sees a message coming from the womb of the earth. And perhaps that is why science teaches us that every great discovery begins not with a big answer, but with a small question. Recent research has revealed yet another mystery. Traces of boron and water have been found in some rare blue diamonds. This shows that water from the oceans can reach hundreds of kilometers deep into the Earth’s interior along tectonic plates. That means diamond is not just a gem; They also hold the key to understanding Earth’s internal water and carbon cycles.

I came to know three such facts about diamonds in this exhibition which were beyond my imagination! Know the first fact. Diamonds are thousands of times older than dinosaurs! We all know that dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago. But most of the natural diamonds were formed before he was born. According to scientists’ studies, many diamonds are 1 to 3.5 billion years old, while dinosaurs came to Earth only about 230 million years ago. Not only this, microscopic diamonds have also been found in some meteorites which predate the formation of our solar system. They were formed in stars that exploded before the birth of the Sun. That means some diamonds are more ancient than our Sun.
Heroes are not made on the surface of the earth
The second fact is that heroes are not created on the surface of the earth. They are formed in the Earth’s mantle about 150 to 200 kilometers deep. The temperature there is around 1,500 degrees Celsius and the pressure is about 7.25 lakh pounds per square inch (psi). It is difficult to imagine this pressure. Imagine if the entire Eiffel Tower was turned upside down and placed on your hand! The unbearable pressure exerted on your palm is almost equal to the pressure exerted on the carbon atoms in the earth’s womb. Only after this process lasting millions of years, the world’s hardest natural substance “Hero” is born.
