Unique attempt of bank robbery in America, the accused arrived with a cat stolen from the adoption center, police arrested

New Delhi . An unusual incident of bank robbery in the state of Maryland, United States, has attracted people’s attention. A person is accused of first stealing a three and a half month old cat from an adoption center and then immediately taking the same cat with him to a nearby bank. There he gave the bank employee a cat to hold and a note demanding cash. However, due to the prompt action of the police, the accused was arrested, while the cat was recovered safely.

According to information, the incident started from a pet store located in Beltsville area. The employees there told that the accused had been coming to the store continuously for the last two weeks and was showing interest in a particular cat kept in the adoption section. It was reported that on the day of the incident, he allegedly opened the cat compartment and took a tuxedo breed cat named Magnolia with himself and left from there.

The entire incident was recorded in the security cameras installed in the store. In the footage, the accused was seen leaving the store with the cat. The employees immediately informed the concerned authorities, after which the police started investigating the matter. During this time it was revealed that the accused had reached a nearby bank.

According to police, inside the bank the accused first requested an employee to hold the cat for some time. He then gave a written note to the bank teller, demanding cash. Taking the situation seriously, the bank employees immediately informed the police. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the accused into custody without any major disruption.

During the operation, the cat was recovered safely from the office of the bank management. Later he was handed over to the representatives of the concerned animal protection organization. The organization confirmed that the cat is completely safe and is being cared for. The process of finding a suitable family for him is also going on.

After the incident, officials of the animal protection organization said that initially they had received information only about the theft of a cat, but later they came to know that the matter had reached the bank. Police confirmed the entire incident and informed about taking the accused into custody and starting further legal process. CCTV footage of both the bank and the pet store has been made part of the investigation in the case.
